THE LADIES OF LIFE, LOVE & STRUGGLE: TORONTO

Meet the ladies of Life, Love & Struggle: Toronto; Dominique, Keisha, and Ese. You may know Dominique and Keisha from Life, Love & Struggle: The Pilot Project and Summer Goodbyes, but Ese is the new girl on the scene. All three sat down with @MMXPRODUCTIONS to give the viewers a sneak peek of the upcoming season.

What does Life, Love & Struggle mean to you and what will we see from you this season?

Dominique: For me, Life, Love & Struggle is a show that outlines a positive take on friendships, ambition and the ups and downs of city life and trying to follow your dreams. I think this season you'll see me play a supportive role to Alize's music ambitions and to the others in the group while at the same time (hopefully) showing growth as a city girl also just trying to find her way.

How does this show compare to the other shows you've done? (Life, Love & Struggle: The Pilot Project, Summer Goodbyes)

Dominique: I think Life, Love & Struggle: Toronto differs from other shows we've done because it was very centered around our achievements, specifically Alize's and Ese's music careers, Keisha opening up and me trying to find my role in all that too. I think it focused less on the breaks down of friendships like the first season perhaps did and more on us as young adults, our hopes and dreams.

Most, if not all reality shows have drama. How does Life, Love & Struggle: Toronto fair on the drama scale?

Keisha: The show has a good amount of drama, just enough to keep viewers on their toes, but it's not too much because that's not what the show is all about. It's more about showing support and recognition to upcoming artists and just enjoying the company of friends (and the shade that comes with it).

What was your favourite part about filming this season?

Keisha: My favourite part of filming this season was meeting the new cast members and creating friendships that will last outside of the show.

As an artist, what do you feel is your biggest struggle in the music industry?

Ese: My biggest struggle would be keeping certain aspects of my life private. I want my family and friends to feel secure around me and I want to be assured that the right people are entering into my life as well. I want my faith in God to be the foundation through which music flows and the struggle in that may be to stay strong and not be knocked down by what everyone else is doing/wants me to do. To know who I am and not be completely shaped the way the industry wants.

What is it like being the new girl on the scene, seeing as Dominique and Keisha have featured in other film projects with Alize.S?

Ese: I loved being the new girl because it did not feel that way. Dominique, Keisha and Alize made featuring in this film project real easy. I would love to do it over again! Such a great experience.

Life, Love & Struggle: Toronto begins November 2nd with episodes airing bi-weekly throughout the winter months.
